What I Knew Today

Something tells me I should be somewhere else
keeping all these crazy thoughts to myself
far away, till some later day
many thousand miles further on
a flicker of a fire of a simple love is done
and what I knew today is completely gone.

Someone took the furniture from all my rooms
left me just an iron and a vacuum
but my landscape change - is self contained
many thousand miles further on
it's a signal from the one whose journey has begun
and what knew today is completely gone.

Don't say no if you don't mean it
but if you say yes I won't believe it
some things change
most everything remains
when a hundred thousand miles have gone

Something tells me I should be somewhere else
keeping all these crazy thoughts to myself
just like today - my memory strays
many thousand miles further on
the difference is I'm tired and I wanna have some fun
caus' what knew today is completely gone.

Sorrow on Sorrow

There's sorrow on sorrow,
he never mentioned sorrow.
Shadow on shadow,
it falls beyond the window.
A son of trouble but no trouble he
that found his life turned suddenly.
not a cry cried he.

There's laughter on laughter
it filled the lightened hours.
Alone was an answer,
alone became her power.
They fired as he walked out calm between.
and they fired again where they thought he'd been.
They fired as he walked out slowly.
they fired as he stood there, deadly.

I'm only one
but I will not run
or do just anything yet
The saddest day for me has come
but I'm not telling anyone.
Is there anything next?.

The Stars Come Out For Everyone But Him

He went to see her
once again
once again
she held a promise
if he held her hand, just felt it's pressure
into the same room
strode her true one then
laughing and singing with the world

with every failure
he will find
he will find
he'll find a reason
for a sad expression of painful pleasure
and at the same time
he'll be in despair
railing and cursing at the world.
